Suma y sigue. Hace unos dias falleció tambien de cáncer el gran Rod Temperton a los 66 años de edad.Compositor, arreglista, músico y productor fué conocido principalmente por escribir y arreglar la cancion "Thriller" para Michael Jackson y también por formar parte del grupo de soul disco Heatwave.Referido a veces como el hombre invisible por su perfil discreto, Rod empezó tocando versiones soul con Bernd Springer y mas tarde se incorporó como músico y compositor a la banda Heatwave.Compuso los mayores éxitos de esta "Boogie Nights","Groove Line" o "Always And Forever".A mediados de los 70 Quincy Jones se fijó en sus dotes musicales y lo invitó a participar en su último disco para A&M Records "The Dude" para acto seguido incorporarlo a su equipo en su recien creado sello discografico Qwest Records. Rod Temperton trabajó durante las décadas de los 70,80 y 90 como arreglista,compositor y músico en los discos producidos por Quincy Jones.Fuera de la órbita de Jones también compuso o produjo a otros artistas destacados del soul y del jazz como Mica Paris o The Manhattan Transfer.En 1986 fué nominado a los Oscar a la mejor canción original por "Miss Celie's Blues" de la pelicula El Color Púrpura.A continuación os dejo una relación de sus trabajos mas importantes bien ya sean canciones escritas , coescritas o producidas por él ;
